New Services! Thai Foot Massage!
*Please read the contraindications below before booking. Please feel free to contact me to discuss as it may be that HIFU is not suitable for you at this present time.
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. It is a proven, non-invasive technology that can produce effective results in the face and body, for a very reasonable cost without the need for recovery time and is a great alternative to invasive, painful surgery that requires extensive 'downtime' and costs multiple times more than HIFU.
Results will vary depending on the individual and most clients will only need 1 treatment but sometimes it may be advisable to have another treatment 3-6 months after the initial treatment to get the best results. This will be discussed at your consultation. Whilst results can be seen immediately, optimum results are seen from 4-12 weeks.
In addition, results can last from 1-3 years!
Our skin constantly renews itself but as we grow older, the renewal process slows down and causes the skin to age. When HIFU creates the controlled cellular damage on tissue, the skin renewal elevates and starts working as if the skin was 10-20 years younger.
HIFU treatment uses ultrasound energy targeting below-the-surface layers of the skin. Ultrasound energy heats the skin tissue rapidly and creates controlled cellular damage. This damage stimulates the cells to produce more collagen and promotes the skin renewal process, waking up the skin to work as it was when you were younger.
HIFU isn't painful. You'll feel a 'tingling' sensation that may feel strange and can be uncomfortable for some people but taking a couple of paracetamol or buying some 'numbing' cream from a pharmacy to apply before treatment can subdue discomfort. You'll also have a 'test' patch to find the intensity that is right for you so that you are comfortable when you have the treatment.
First we'll have a thorough consultation to ensure your suitability for HIFU treatment. Then we'll arrange an appointment for you to come and have the treatment.
On the day of the treatment, you may wish to take some paracetamol or use some numbing cream before arriving to minimise any discomfort.
We'll take a 'before' photo so you can see the immediate results following treatment.
You'll then have your face cleansed (so best to not wear any make if you can possibly help) then I'll draw some sections on your face so I ensure each part is treated.
After this I'll apply some transducer gel to the handheld devise that I'll use - this is to ensure a good connection with the skin.
Then I'll start the treatment and you'll feel the tingling sensation you experienced on your 'patch' test.
Once the treatment is complete, we'll take another photo and I'll give you some aftercare advice, which is important to follow to obtain the best results.
Then after a glass of water you'll be ready to go back to your day!
I'll contact you the day after your treatment to check in with you and then arrange for you to pop in for a 4 week photo and a 12 week photo.
At your 12 week visit we'll discuss the results and whether another treatment within the following 3 -6 months would be advantageous to achieving your goals if not already reached. This would be entirely up to you and how you feel. If you'd like another treatment we'll book it in and if not you can just get in touch when you feel you need a 'refresher' treatment. This may be between 1-3 years depending on the individual.
